When reporting a person who is panhandling, please remember the act of panhandling is not a crime within the City of Avondale.  What can be considered a crime is if they are standing on a median, in the street, or blocking some other type of public access (ie: a sidewalk).  If they are on a business/private property, please contact the business manager/owner to address this concern directly. 

Instead of giving money directly to panhandlers, give to some of our local non-profits who help homeless individuals recover from homelessness and other issues that prevent them from getting off of the streets.
