Service Line Warranties of America Mailing to Residents
Water and sewer lines may weaken and break due to normal wear and tear, aging and ground shifting. The City is responsible for maintaining and repairing water and sewer lines in the street up to your property line. But did you know that as a homeowner, you are responsible for any water line or sewer line breaks on your property?
Depending on the nature of the break, the repairs can be expensive. Through our membership with the National League of Cities, the City of Avondale partnered with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to make residents aware of VOLUNTARY water line and sewer line warranty programs. These repair plans provide protection from costly covered repairs.
From time to time, SLWA sends mailings to residents regarding the programs and has permission to use the City of Avondale’s logo. Although this is not a City-run program, we encourage you to explore options available for water and sewer line protection, including the voluntary programs offered by SLWA.
